Businesses with ideas for a ‘game-changing, cutting edge or disruptive innovation project’ that leads to new products, processes or services in any sector with the potential to generate growth have until 12 noon on Wednesday, 9 August to apply to ‘Open programme round 3’ for a share of £15m funding.

Qualifying projects will last between 6 and 36 months and involve total eligible costs ranging from £25,000 to £1m, of which businesses could attract up to 70% depending on their size and the type of project. If costs fall outside this range, the project will be ineligible.

Projects can involve any stage of the development process, from proof of concept through to prototype development and demonstration. They must, however, be led by a UK-based business, either working alone or with partners, and only one application per applicant per funding round is allowed.
