New guidance will help 8,000 voluntary and charitable organisations, as well as large businesses, comply with new regulations that, from April, will require them to compile a report on gender pay gaps within their organisations and publish it on their own, and a government, website.
The results must also be confirmed in a written statement by the chief executive or another appropriate person.
While gender pay gap reporting is compulsory for businesses with 250 or more employees, Acas suggests that smaller organisations should also consider using it to improve their gender equality.
‘Gender pay gap reporting’ links to the main guidance, which has been jointly compiled by Acas and the Government Equalities Office (GEO), two fact sheets and Acas’ new ‘Gender pay reporting notification factsheet.
