CPA Encourages Small Business Self Esteem
10th January 2018.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, but they remain vulnerable. The recent rise in fuel prices, as well as continued Brexit worries, have taken its toll on these vital businesses. Here at The Credit Protection Association, our small business Members benefit from our credit management skills, and sincere encouragement.
In the latest Small Business Index, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has revealed that the three-year-high rise in fuel prices has led operating costs to soar within small firms.
Mike Cherry, the federation’s national chairman, has called upon the Government to take action as petrol and diesel prices in the UK reach £1.21 and £1.24 respectively.
“Affordable travel on roads is vital to the success of small businesses and local economies, and we look forward to seeing the government do its utmost to help,” he said.
The FSB has warned that a record number of small business owners have said that they were preparing to close, downsize or sell their companies as costs skyrocket.
According to the federation, some 31 percent of firms expect their performance to worsen over the next three months.
Concerns surrounding Brexit and recent rises in interest rates and inflation have damaged the confidence of many small businesses. Here at The Credit Protection Association, we can free up your business’ cash flow, reduce debt and boost your business self-esteem in the process! If your business is struggling do not wait for Government to take action- they have enough on their plate.
