Have You Been Supplying A Part Of Carillion?
If so, today’s news must have come as a shock.
15th January 2018.
It was announced this week that the construction and services group, Carillion, was going under.
This has left 30,000 businesses to lose out on up to £1 billion in unpaid costs, and putting over 20,000 jobs at risk.
The UK Government has announced it is stepping in to pay employees and small businesses working on Carillion’s public contracts.
However, many projects, such as the Midland Metropolitan Hospital building, have been halted nonetheless.
Furthermore, firms who had been working within the private sector reportedly have only 48 hours of support.
The Credit Protection Association, with more than one hundred years in the credit management business, has every sympathy with your company.
Some suppliers have come to us in fear of how this collapse will affect their credit rating, and we have reassured them accordingly.
Given the scale of the liquidation, and the ensuing media frenzy; there is not too much that can be done.
However, there is something that you can do to stop a repetition of this disaster.
CPA has a range of credit management products that are purpose-built to cope with future situations such as Carillion.
