Brexit Boost As Exports Soar

A massive increase in exports was celebrated this week, satisfying many pro-Brexit officials

According to official figures overall exports were up 14 per cent to £602 billion for last year following the referendum result.

Among the biggest winners is British music exports which are up 13 per cent to an overall £2.5 billion.

The figures come as International Trade Secretary Liam Fox launches a drive for greater recognition of small businesses in growing exports from Britain.

Last weekend we celebrated Small Business Saturday where many local businesses were given the opportunity to showcase their goods and services. Dr Fox recognised this holiday in a recent announcement, and hopes to see more small businesses encouraged as the UK leaves the EU.He went on: “Every day I hear from countries all over the world about the demand for high quality British produce, and I want companies of all sizes to makes the most of these opportunities.
