New independent centre to research tax administration
The National Audit Office and the University of Birmingham have joined forces to launch a new tax centre that will assemble both practical and academic financial, legal and economic evidence to support improvements in the administration of the tax system.
Among the issues on which it will focus are
- behavioural economic insights into tax administration
- assessing the tax gap
- the impact of making tax digital
- tax evasion and avoidance
- customer service
- transformation of the tax system
The Tax Centre will, in addition, encourage debate, make research readily available to taxpayers, seek to stimulate ideas through debate and events and provide a safe space for government bodies, academics and tax practitioners to discuss needs and practical challenges.
As tax is a fact of business life that affects all the organisations who utilise Credit Protection Association’s credit management and debt recovery services, CPA News will be reporting on future developments at the Centre.
The Credit Protection Association is a credit management company established in 1914. If you supply goods or services on credit then we can help you!
